Step softly, you’re on a rug!

Sadly this wonderfully embossed rug has been stepped on so many times it was flatter than breakfast pancake.

Much bereft of all depth and body and resembling a lacklustre piece of material left on the floor! Never mind, we've got this.

First off, the rug is given a thorough vacuum, following this we then went over it with a power rake to remove loose debris,

then treated the rug to a copper comb.

This works in a similar way to a suede brush wherein it exfoliates the pile and disentangles the fibres of the rug. We then clean the rug using our normal cleaning process.

The rug is then steam extracted and treated a second time with the copper comb which resets the fabric so the rug has depth and body.

As you can see from the before and after photos the rug now looks far more inviting to walk on. It looks warmer and more appealing to the eye as opposed to the flattest fish in the fishmongers box!

We really do our best to rescue and restore any carpet rug or sofa that looks like it's had it's last days, yet really all it needs is some TLC and professional know how. Vax machines and Rug Doctors really don't come with 20 years of knowledge and training.
