Let’s do it proper, we’re raising cash for a Chopper.

We were recently asked if we could help out a local business that was holding a charity event for the KSS Air Ambulance Service. A charity very close to the heart of all concerned at Tyre-Point and Complete Carpet Cleaning.

Naturally we were more than happy to tidy up their reception area as the carpet tiles in there were in a very poor state after years of oil, grease, rubber and tyre residue had built up and worked it’s way deep into the fibres.

After a thorough vacuum a high alkaline pre treatment solution was applied to the carpet tiles and allowed to dwell for several minutes. This is then agitated with a power rake, then extracted with an acidic extraction solution to ensure any trace of chemical residue and soiling are fully removed from the fibre. Due to the excessive amount of soiling this process was repeated several times to ensure the very best results.

Extracting all of the debris from the tiles was an eye opener even for Lee with all of his years of experience. He described the water coming out of the machine as looking like crude oil! And given we went through 18lts of pre treatment solution and 90lts of specialist extraction solution. This is about 10 times more than we would normally use on a standard carpet.

As you can see from the photos attached the carpet tiles are looking much more vibrant in both colour (Look at the yellow!) and texture and smell fantastic too.

The lads at Tyre-Point were extremely happy with the outcome and had a very successful charity day raising a whopping £2176 on the day.
